This is quite a large house that Hans is renovating (as I rent in part of it). We've had to come up with names for some of the less obvious rooms. Because otherwise you can't refer to them. So the fairly short but quite wide corridor leading to the back door is called "the bookshoe". There's an airy room just off the living/dining room - that's "the understudy". The Gimpery is upstairs. The less said about that the better. And to get from the downstairs bathroom to the kitchen you must pass through the epiphany.
