If I've understood this correctly, the genius of Karl Rove was to recognise that there's a whole bunch of people who may
sorta care, but their reservations about killing non-Americans and torturing prisoners get trumped by the need to keep out of office anyone who might further jeopardise the lives of unborn Americans. Our innocent brethren - voiceless, defenceless and almost sinless.
