Now that we're collectively watching so much "reality" tv and "talent" shows, could it be true that if a celebrity falls over in a forest and no one's there to watch them, they wouldn't make a sound?

Last week Nouri Maliki, the Iraqi PM, said it was "discourteous" of the US president to make disparaging remarks about his leadership. He's right. When you've invaded a country and broken it, it is discourteous to then criticise the lack of progress made by the subsequently elected government. Especially if your country's got a reputation for knocking over regimes it's not impressed by.
