In the lead up to the election, the BBC played "Intro" by The xx over scenes of fog dispersing around the UK with the promise of "clarity on Election issues". But on the night it was difficult to answer even basic questions like "Who won?". At around 7.30am, Gove implies the studio is looking for closure. David Dimbleby, by now into his tenth consecutive hour of presenting, retorts: "On the contrary - I thrive on chaos and confusion, Michael". I want to see this as a mash up.
