The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) was supported publicly by GoDaddy, the domain registrar. Yesterday GoDaddy withdrew their support for the legislation after its customers started leaving; and sent a tweet to the CEO of Cheezburger (I Can Has Cheezburger?) who had threatened to take his domains elsewhere. GoDaddy also started calling departing customers.
