On Thursday, as Jack Straw was talking about reform of the House of Lords, he said in passing: "and I spelt this out in a mini-statement last night".
Isn't a mini-statement something you get from the cashpoint [ATM]? This could mean one of only two things. Either Jack Straw is (in his head) categorising his own statements by size order; or he's started issuing press releases on advice slips.
